Flager report

November 11th, 2007

Flagler was sweet. Sunny on Saturday and overcast and super windy today. No state champs, those are at Bremerton next Sunday. We had a strong 2nd Ascent showing in all our divisions. Even Dan, who I guess really doesn’t count until next cross season. That’s OK -congrats Dan on a strong weekend. Mike R. kicked it hard in the single speed races both days. I did what I do best - finishing somewhere in the middle and well off the winners pace. It did put me in 11th place in the series on the 11th day of the 11th month. Do you see a attern?  Oh yeah, takin’ it to 11 on the Speedvagen. As you know, Sunday was the Day of the Speedvagen. Guess what - yep, I finished 11th in today’s race! The power of the Unicorn was in full force…

The only down note for the weekend was Alex took a pretty wicked face plant in his race today. He was having a strong race when it happened. Alex - I hope you are doing OK man. Get well and get back out there. Hope to see you soon.

Cross Season is officially underway

October 8th, 2007

Cross season is officially underway and we had a great showing out
at St Edwards Park Crosstoberfest this weekend. Ragnarok put on a
great race on a great course and there lots of Step Downers out
there supporting our title sponsor Second Ascent.

For those of you that weren’t there in the morning–Aaron Turner
demonstrated how to decimate the field in the six easy laps at the
11:30 race on Saturday. He put on quite a show and I’m sure he’ll
do it again soon!! Nice job Aaron!

If you haven’t yet gotten in on the local ‘cross action there’s
still time to enjoy the fun and the shop has lots of sexy bikes on
hand for you to get out there and test your mettle against the best
in the NW.

We’ve had a consistently strong turn out at the Wednesday night
practices and at the weekend races this season. Next weekends race
is just up the road in Des Moines and if you haven’t been out to see
what all the buzz is about you should come check it out.

It’s fun…you should try it!
